“Are you going to Belize City tomorrow?” Sherry asked.
“Yes. I have to pick up some parts for my vehicle.”
“Why don’t you just buy them at one of the golf cart shops here in San Pedro?”
“Because no one sells parts for my John Deere Gator out here. I have to go to the city and I may even have to go to Spanish Lookout. Why were you wondering if I’m going? Did you need something?”
“I don’t really need it,” she said, “but I hear they have a pet store now and they have some bulldog pups. Just check them out for me.”
“Sure.”
At the pet store I checked out eight little white and black wiggle bundles of affection. I like them all so I couldn’t pick one out. I walked to the counter at the same time that a little girl came up. She looked to be about eight years old.
“May I help you,” the lady behind the counter asked.
“I want a bunny rabbit,” the little girl said. “Do you have bunny rabbits?”
“We certainly do. I’ll get you one.”
The lady came back to the counter with a rabbit and said, “How about this one?”
She sat a beautiful brownish grey rabbit on the counter.
“This one is called an American Sable rabbit,” she said. “Do you like him?”
“He’s too big,” the little girl said.
The woman came back with a small white one saying, “This one is called a Florida White.”
“He’s too big, too. I want a really small bunny rabbit.”
“Does it matter what color it is?” the lady asked.
“Not really,” the little girl said. “I don’t think my python cares what color it is.”
