Mexican and Belizean organizations have teamed up to bring a high end fashion runway to San Pedro to benefit the island’s special needs youth. Scheduled for Friday, November 20th, the show will feature gorgeous Belizean and Mexican models strutting the runway in the latest fashion trends. Titled BAHIA Fest, this event is being hosted through the collaboration of Mujer Total Catalog, The Candle Garden, Amber Beach Bar and Grill, Caribbean Villas and the Consulate of Belize in Mexico. But the event isn’t just about the clothes, shoes and accessories, as its main purpose is to raise funds for Ambergris Caye Camp Starfish.
The runway show will commence at 7PM sharp at Caribbean Villas Hotel. It will feature original fall and winter designs perfect for the fashion savvy islanders. Tickets are already on sale at an admission fee of $55BZ. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit Camp Starfish and its work with island youth dealing with mental or physical disabilities. “We are very proud to say that our brothers from Mexico from the catalog Mujer Total have reached out to Camp Satrfish and will be showcasing their clothes designs from popular designers from Merida, Quintana Roo at Caribbean Villas. Income will be donated to the camp to pay for legal paperwork to register in Belmopan. We invite everyone to come out. Let’s support this worthy cause!” said Camp Starfish organizers.
There will be lots to eat and drink, as well as great raffles throughout the night. At the end of the show, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items featured in the show at a special price.
Tickets can be purchased at Caribbean Villas’ front desk office or at The Candle Garden on Pescador Drive.
