Four contestants vie for the title of Miss San Pedro Lions

The Miss San Pedro Lions Pageant is scheduled to take place on Saturday March 28th at 7:30PM at the Angel Nunez Auditorium. Four lovely contestants are vying for the title of Miss San Pedro Lions 2015-2016. Ciara Duran, Jessica Bradley, Marisha Thompson and Ezra Jacobs will take to the stage in all the glitz and glamour of pageantry in hopes of charming the judges. Only one girl will win and be crowned by reigning Miss San Pedro Lions Arlethe Lima. With only a couple days away, the contestants are making final preparations to perform their best on pageant day.Ciara Duran-1
16-year-old Ciara Duran is a third form student at San Pedro High School (SPHS). She is excited about participating in the pageant and representing her island home. “It’s not about winning or losing, but about enjoying myself and having fun. This pageant has given me experience and confidence to tackle other challenges of life,” said Duran.Ezra Jacobs-1
Second form student at SPHS, Ezra Jacobs is 15-year-old and loves spending time with her family and friends. She is proud of calling San Pedro her home as she enjoys the sun, sand and sea. She is also passionate about her studies and reading. “I just want to wish everyone the best. Winning is not everything, it’s about the experiences you gain. Nothing in this world is hard or impossible to achieve,” said Jacobs.Jessica Bradley
Jessica Bradley is 16-years-old and currently in third form at SPHS. She enjoys spending time at the beach with friends. Bradley is a nature lover and loves music. “I entered this pageant to show everyone that you can do anything you put your mind too. I hope to gain valuable experience that will be helpful in my life and help me grow into a better person,” said Bradley.Marisha Thompson
15-year-old third former at SPHS Marisha Thompson enjoys pageantry and is eager to take part in the Miss San Pedro Lions Pageant. She also enjoys singing, reading and dancing. She is an active person and dreams of becoming a detective. “I love the experience I get when participating in pageants. I have always liked pageants and hope to continue participating in them as much as I can. I thank everyone that supports me in my endeavors,” said Thompson.


Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the show. General admission is $5, while reserved seating is $10. Tickets are available from Lions Members, The San Pedro Sun, Traveller’s Liquors and at the gate the night of the event. There will be lots to eat and drink on sale, as well as performances by San Pedro Dance Academy, David Aguilar, Miss Carnival 2015 and DJ Debbie.
