On December 14, the U.S. Embassy delivered COVID-19 response equipment and supplies valued at over U.S. $37,000 to Belize’s National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) at the Price Barracks in Ladyville, Belize. Major Matthew Adams, U.S. Embassy Belmopan Office of Security Cooperation Chief, represented the U.S. Embassy when handing over the items.

Keith Gilges noted, “As the world continues to battle the threat of COVID-19 together, the United States is doing our part to help our Belizean friends and neighbors. These supplies will be used to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Belize. We remain deeply committed to supporting organizations like NEMO in their efforts to deliver timely assistance to the people of Belize in emergencies, including those created by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
