On Friday, August 11th, Belize Telemedia Limited hosted a DigiNet Corporate Mixer at the stunning Rain Restaurant & Rooftop Terrace located at Grand Caribe. The event served as an opportunity to learn about the new fiber-based broadband high-speed internet service being made available on Ambergris Caye, as well as to socialize with members of BTL staff, Huawei representatives and other businesspeople.
While guests mingled, several fun raffles were held, with fabulous prizes, including phones and electronics giveaways. CEO of BTL, Rochus Schreiber, spoke of the exciting new service currently being installed on Ambergris Caye. He encouraged BTL internet subscribers to check with their local BTL offices about the new upgrades and to sign up for service. 
Schreiber introduced a representative of Huawei, who enthusiastically described the new, faster and cheaper bandwidth as a boost to the tourism industry. He thanked BTL for choosing Huawei to provide this service, acknowledging that it will drastically improve the lives of all Belizeans.
Ambergris Caye is the first community to test out this service, and customers are asked to stop by their local BTL office to find out more about signing up for service.
