Ariel Rosado Memorial Education Foundation celebrates 2 ½ years of service to Belize

223x239xlogo.png.pagespeed.ic.odppMFy0-nThe Board of Directors of The Ariel Rosado Memorial Education Foundation is proud to celebrate two and a half years of service to Belize and congratulates all those who made this milestone possible. The Foundation has reached its first plateau with the offering of a total of Thirty Scholarships for Academic Year 2014 – 2015 comprised as follows:
*Ten (10) Scholarships for Primary School Students to learn to sail with the Belize Sailing Association
*Seventeen (17) Secondary School Scholarships covering the full cost of Fees and Books
*Three Tuition Scholarships to Galen University
In addition to these scholarships The Foundation co-sponsored the 2012 Ariel Rosado Belmopan Cycling Classic and has provided financial assistance to the Third World Summer Camp and the Football Federation of Belize.
The Foundation is proud to note that after two years – in spite of overwhelming socio economic challenges – all scholarship recipients have been successful in their studies and in many cases are ranked in the top five students in their respective classes. The Foundation also takes great pride in congratulating the first set of scholarship recipients to successfully complete their course of studies and who graduated from their respective programs during the 2014 graduation season:
Kimberly Searle: Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Galen University
Kennisha Nicholas – Wesley College
Symeon Kelly – St. John’s College
Kenesha Gabourel – Gwen Lizarraga High School.
Individual and Corporate Citizens have rallied to support the Foundation and we now have sponsorship for fifteen (15) Dedicated Scholarships. Scholarships will be officially presented to the recipients at an Awards Ceremony to salute and recognize our sponsors and supporters. The ceremony will be held at the Lion’s Den on Princess Margaret Drive on Wednesday 16th July 2014 starting at 10:00 am.. All are invited to attend.
