Presenting the 2011 Miss San Pedro Contestants

Five beautiful young ladies have accepted the challenge of competing for the 2011-2012 Miss San Pedro competition. The girls are gearing up for September 3rd, when they all take to center stage at the Saca Chispas field under the theme “Miss San Pedro 2011 – A Unique Paradise, An Island Fiesta” to compete for the coveted title of Miss San Pedro and over $5,000.00 in cash and prizes.

Up for the challenge are Miss Christine Marie Syme,  15 years old, third year student at the San Pedro High School (SPHS) – Sponsor: Fido’s Courtyard. Trisha Acosta, 17 years old, 4th year science student- Sponsor: Jaguar’s Temple Night Club. Yakarelis Hernandez, 18 years old, graudate of SPHS, Science major – Sponsor:  Victoria House. Leonela Eiley, 16 years old, 3rd year business student of SPHS – Sponsor: Castillo’s Hardware. And of course, last but certainly not least, 15 year old Josie Lopez, third year science student at SPHS – Sponsor: Captain Shark’s. This year, there is a special sponsor for the swimsuit segment of the competition. Sunrise Realty has undertaken the task to sponsor this special part of the program for the night of September 3rd.

Leading up to the pageant, the girls will get a chance to travel to neighboring Chetumal, Quintana Roo where they will get to do some shopping and other fun activities; visit Maruba Spa Resort then western Belize, San Ignacio and the ancient Mayan ruins of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech.
