At 12:53pm on Sunday, July 03, 2011, the San Pedro Fire Departmentreceived a call from a passerby that a home on Marina Drive was on fire.When the firefighters arrived they found the 15 x 16 Plycem homecompletely engulfed in flames. The SPFD worked hard to contain the firefrom spreading, but the home, and all its contents were completelydestroyed.
The home belongs to Mr. Jorge Perdomo, and he and his wife and child hadbeen out fishing when the fire occurred. The home was not insured.According to Mr. Medina of the SPFD, the cause of the fire is yet to bedetermined, but their investigations continue.
