On Saturday, April 23rd, ‘Keller Williams Kids Can’ (KWKC) hosted its first ever international course in San Pedro Town. Over thirty registered participants, ages 18 and over, gathered at Banyan Bay’s Conference Room, for the “QL: A World Changer Mindset” course. The free, six-hour course was powered by Gary Keller’s Quantum Leap and aimed at empowering those in attendance by inspiring big thinking, model wealth, building and instilling a passion for generous giving.Keller Williams Quantum Leap Seminar-2
Keller, a successful real estate entrepreneur and co-founder of Keller Williams Realty (KWR) in the United States and now here in Belize, created the educational non-profit organization ‘KWKC’. Designed to inspire young adults to reach their optimum potential and help them create powerful habits that allow them to live a life of intention, Keller’s course provided a wealth of information for island youth.
Attendees also learned from qualified real-estate agent at KWR, Margot Weatherford, of Charleston, South Carolina USA, who was the international guest instructor for the course. An eight-chapter workbook was given out to all attendees, and topics such as the science of success, a quantum leap, a wealthy life, maximizing potential, balancing life’s routine, goal-setting, funding the life you desire, and the rules of money were covered. Each participant learned to create a personalized success strategy for each participant.Keller Williams Quantum Leap Seminar-3
“My main hope is for the participants to take away the message of intentional living. Time waits for no one and we all have a certain amount of time to pursue our dreams and turn them into goals with deadlines. Anything is possible with the right formula and we are giving them the formula within this curriculum,” said Margot.Keller Williams Quantum Leap Seminar-5
Throughout the lecture, she promoted a family-based environment by actively engaging students in conversation and inspiring them to take that quantum leap (a small, yet significant change). Giveaways were drawn from raffle tickets given at the entrance every two hours. A Kindle Fire, ‘Defining Decade Book’ by Meg Ryan, ‘The One Thing Book’ by Jay Papasan, and a 3-month membership The San Pedro Fitness Club were among the prizes given to the lucky winners of the raffle drawing.Keller Williams Quantum Leap Seminar-8
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors. On behalf of the KWKC team and coordinator Kate Corrigan, they would like to thank the following: The San Pedro Sun for the newspaper article, Reef Radio, Banyan Bay for the training room and projector, Javier and Velie Williams Rentals for chairs and tables, Chuck and Robbie’s for fruit salad, Crystal juice, and donation of a snorkel trip for the guest instructor, The Palapa Bar & Sandbar for donating lunch meals, The Chocolate Company’s Jo & Chris Beaumont for sponsoring afternoon snacks, Keller Williams Belize for sponsoring giveaways, John Wasson for accommodating the instructor, Margot Weatherford for sponsoring a flight to Belize from Charleston, and Tropic Air who sponsored a round trip flight from Belize City to San Pedro.
