Dennis-Wolfe-Wolfes-WoofersCharlie and I were hiding out on the deck of the Holiday Hotel. We like it there because it’s quiet, has a beautiful view and no one thinks to look for us there. Charlie drinks his beer and I drink my coffee while we look for young ladies in bikinis.

“Speaking of bikinis,” Charlie said, “Here comes a couple of them right now.”

Two young ladies came from the beach and took a table next to ours.

“Aren’t you going to ask me about my date last night?” the blonde asked.

“I didn’t know it was a date,” her friend said. “I thought he just picked you up in the bar.”

“He did ask me what the date was because he didn’t have a watch.”

“And you told him?”

“Yes.”

“It was like dating an octopus. He seemed to have a whole lot more arms and hands than most guys.”

“I’ve noticed that about these local guys.”

“Anyway, he kept wanting to come back to my room with me but I told him no. I said my mama told me that if I let a man come to my room it would disgrace my family.”

“That was smart,” the friend said.

“I know.”

“What happened next?”

“He kept asking and I kept refusing for the longest time.”

“You didn’t weaken and give in, did you?”

“Not one bit,” the blonde said. “In the end we went to his room so his family is the one that got disgraced.”
