The newly formed McKenna Rockets Basketball Team in San Pedro has joined up with Gabriel “Gaby” Nuñez, Deputy Mayor and Councilor in charge of sports, to host a two week summer basketball camp. Starting Monday, August 4th to Friday, August 15th, the camp will be held at the San Pedro High School Campus. It is for children between the ages of eight to 16 and is free of charge. There are limited spaces and only the first 60 players to register by August 4th at 8:30AM will be accepted.
In addition the summer camp will host two basketball games at the end of the program. The games that will be played are the McKenna Rockets against Caye Caulker Basketball Team and ABS Warriors from Belize City against Caye Caulker Basketball Team. A fee of $5 for adults and $2 for children is being charged to watch the games. The date for the game will be announced later.
