Things are heating up at the Ambergris Stadium as we approach the semi finals and championship games which were scheduled for this weekend. This past weekend six games were played and at the end, four teams were to have moved onto the Semi Finals.
On Friday October 21st, SP Football Club proved victorious over Castillo’s with a score of 3 to 2. In the first game on Saturday October 22nd, Boca Juniors won Sugar Boys Juventus in a score of 3 to 1while Legends dominated Underdogs with a whopping score of 10 to nil.
On Sunday Belizean Shores gave Jokers a 2-1 game in favor or Belizean Shores while Veterans stumped Castillos with a 10-1 game. In the last game Boca Juniors won SP Football Club with a score of 2 to 0.
There is one game left to be played to get the four teams that will go up against each other in the Semi Finals. This game was supposed to be played on Wednesday October 26th but due to Rina – that game was cancelled.
Friday night there will be a game between Castillos and Belizean Shores. Semi Finals are scheduled to be played on Sunday October 30th, with the first game starting at 2pm. Legends vs (winner of Friday night’s game); then at 4pm Veterans goes up against Boca Juniors. The winners of these two games move on to compete for first and second places while the losers will battle it out for third place. Both games are scheduled to be played on Sunday November 6th.
