The Belize Police Department (BPD) has named Superintendent Christopher Noble commander of the recently created Region Four within the Belize District comprising of Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye. As a result, Assistant Superintendent Basil Reyes will be in charge of the San Pedro Police Station on Ambergris Caye, while Noble oversees both island operations.
According to Noble, who held the post of Officer in Charge of the Coastal Executive Unit, the Belize District was known as the Eastern Division with three regions, the South Side of the City, North Side, and the Villages. The Cayes were under Region Two (North Side), with its commander based in Belize City. The BPD saw the need to name a commander on the Cayes to manage the fourth region.
With a record in maintaining crime at a low on the island and a no-nonsense approach, Noble was placed in charge of Region Four, and Reyes was officially put in charge of the San Pedro Police Station. Reyes proudly accepted this duty and pledged to continue serving the people of San Pedro. Meanwhile, Noble indicated that he will still be available to the public despite moving to another post. “I remain assigned to the area with the San Pedro office, where I will operate from,” said Noble. He reminded the public to reach out to him at 600-3533 for any assistance they may need from the local department.
He commended the great work of both police formations Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker. The San Pedro Police Station can be reached at phone number 206-2022 and is located on Pescador Drive.
