New Senior Officer Sgt. Raymond Berry joins San Pedro Police

Sgt. Raymond Berry recently joined the San Pedro Police Department taking up the responsibilities of Case File Reading and Motor Vehicle Maintenance. Sergeant Berry brings with him over 29 years of experience with the Belize Police Force.

Berry has previously held the position of Executive Duty Officer with his main duty being street patrols. In San Pedro, Sergeant Berry will be responsible for ensuring that all motor vehicles are properly maintained and ready to run to guarantee constant patrols. As a File Reader, he is responsible for ensuring that case files are properly put together with all the elements of the crime necessary to assist the prosecutor in ensuring the prosecution of criminals.

Sgt. Berry hopes to be able to work with his fellow officers as well as the community, “I intend to do my best work along with the department personnel as well as the people of San Pedro. Hopefully working together we can minimize the crime on the island and keep everybody in the right path.

The San Pedro Sun extends a warm welcome to Sgt. Berry and wishes him the very best in his tenure on San Pedro as he joins the group of men and women tasked with the responsibility of keeping us all safe.  Sgt. Berry officially took office on Monday June 4th.
