Four San Pedro High Sschool (SPHS) lovely contestants were officially sashed as delegates of the 2016-2017 Miss SPHS Pageant. On Thursday, April 14th, a dinner ceremony took place at Hidden Treasure Restaurant, where each contestant was presented to their sponsors.
The ceremony kicked off shortly after 6PM, with Philip Ramsey sharing more about the upcoming pageant. “This is a memorable occasion as we start the journey towards the night of the pageant. There is a lot of work to be done, but I am confident that each one of you will give their best for the chance to win the crown,” said Ramsey. He also congratulated the pageant committee’s dedication into making this year’s event even better.
Before dinner, each candidate was officially sashed by their sponsor. The candidates thanked their sponsors and the committee for putting together this one-of-kind event for them. Current Miss San Pedro High School, Sheila Chi wished all participants the best of luck and encouraged them to do their best in the competition. She added that representing the school is an honour, and her experience as the SPHS’ ambassador for the past two years have left her with unforgettable memories.
This year’s contestants for the pageant are Faith Edgar sponsored by Sandy Point Real Estate, Norma Lopez sponsored by J&H Golf Cart Rentals, Lisandra Novelo sponsored by Castillo’s Hardware and Janelly Aban sponsored by Water Jets International Ltd.
After a delicious dinner, Ramsey and teacher Gabriela Guerrero closed the night off, thanking sponsors for their continued support. Special thanks were extended to Hidden Treasure Restaurant, who hosted the evening.
The pageant is set for 8PM Saturday, April 30th at the San Pedro High School (SPHS) Angel Nuñez Auditorium.
