Congratulations are in order for this year’s Miss San Pedro Lions Queen, Shantell Pascascio. Shantell, along with four other contestants, Nayelie Puc, Jordana Segura, Thalia Blanco and Fatima Solanie Graniel took the stage at the San Pedro Lions Den on October 15, 2011 for a night of beauty, elegance and pageantry.

The San Pedro Lions Club have not held a pageant to choose their beauty representative in 15 years, so this year’s pageant was a long awaited one indeed. Host/MC Eiden Salazar Jr. did an excellent job running the show, as always.

Five judges were tasked with choosing a winner from the talented beauties. All five girls, ranging from ages 15 – 17, showcased their best, from their introductory dance, to their sportswear modeling, an incredible range of talent, and of course, the glamorous gowns.

There was also a question and answer section, which tested the girls’ knowledge of the Lions Organization. At the end of the night however, only one could be chosen as the winner. Other prizes included Miss Photogenic, which went to Jordana Segura, and Miss Amity, which Shantell also took. First runner up was announced as Fatima Solanie Graniel, and she took home several great prizes, a beautiful bouquet and sash.

Upon the announcement of the winner, Shantell Pascascio, the crowd cheered enthusiastically. She was crowned by outgoing Lions Queen, Ivy Alamilla and Miss San Pedro, Yakarelis Hernandez. Congratulations Shantell, and kudos to the SP Lions for a job well done!
