Residents of the subdivision of San Mateo, north of San Pedro Town, will have access to several medical services at no cost on Saturday, February 18th, via a mobile health clinic. The mobile health clinic is made possible through the collaborative efforts of Area Representative Honourable Andre Perez, San Pedro Town Council (SPTC), the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and other organizations. The event will occur from 10AM through 3PM across from Pasadita Store. Anyone needing more information can contact the phone number 613-0787.
The services offered in partnership with the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II include complimentary doctor consultations, baby vaccines, pregnancy testing, COVID-19 vaccines, and flu shots. Other services include emergency response, free HIV testing, Malaria and glucose testing, and blood pressure checks. The community police will also be present to address any issues and enhance safety. Other activities expected to take place are a clean-up organized by the SPTC. Area Representative Perez will also be available at the event.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, mobile clinics were conducted on the island by volunteers with Projects Abroad Belize, an organization based in England.
