The Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye (RCAC) brought magic to the island’s children with the third annual ‘Intermagia Magic Show,’ on Saturday, October 6th. Hundreds of parents took their children for an evening of enchantment at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium, with two children’s show at 1PM and 6PM. The magicians entertaining the crowd hailed from Argentina, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.
The show began after RCAC President Paul DuVille welcomed and thanked everyone in attendance. The event serves as a fundraiser for the many projects the club plans for the island. The main beneficiary from this event is the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, which continues to receive donations from the Rotarians on the island.
Magicians engaged with the audience, gaining much participation. The line-up of performers included advanced illusions involving flower pots, decks of cards, invincible floating balls, handkerchiefs, a card in a balloon and turning wet paper into several pieces of dry confetti.
The audience was more than delighted, laughing and applauding at each performance. Organizers were pleased that the show was a success.
The Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets for the event and supported the club’s mission of strengthening the community through service to future generations. The RCAC is committed to improving the health, education, and welfare of the people in San Pedro Town.
The RCAC is always seeking new volunteers to join the team. If you are interested in becoming a member, you are invited to visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RotaryClubofAmbergrisCaye/.
