On Saturday December 20th, The San Pedro Dance Academy held their annual Christmas Dance Concert at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium. The venue saw a gathering of family and friends who all came out for a night of creative dance and entertainment.
A beautifully decorated stage brought the Christmas time feeling to life. With everything draped in white from ceiling to floor, complimented by twinkling lights, it was easy to be taken away into a winter wonderland. Dancers graced the stage with several numbers that showcased the skills of the infants, infants advanced, juniors and senior dancers. With ballet numbers such as “My Pretty Little Dance,” “ Do you Wanna Build a Snowman,” and “Say Something,” followed by upbeat dances such as “Chocolate,” and “A Little Party,” to cultural Garifuna and Creole numbers, the night displayed the versatility of the group.
Not only was the night a prime display of achievement and growth for The San Pedro Dance Academy, it also showcased first-hand the confidence and skills that dance instills in the young dancers. The audience certainly approved with enthusiastic applause for the energetic dancers.
