Dear Doctor Love,
I love two different men and I can’t choose one over the other. Is it possible to be in love with two people at the same time?
/s/ R. G.

Dear R.G.,
Yes it is possible, but it is certainly not practical. It’s like having one lobster over the limit. If you don’t choose one to throw back into the sea there are stiff penalties to be paid. Make your choice before you take this further.Dr-Love

Dear Doctor Love,
I am nineteen years old and my fiancé is twenty-one. In the three years that we have been together I have seen his temper but it was never aimed at me. Three days ago we got into a disagreement that turned into an argument. This has happened in the past but we always got over it. This time it went further. He told me to shut up and when I didn’t stop talking he slapped me. I was so shocked that I could not even react by crying or yelling at him. I went home and did not come out all weekend. He called me the next day and we talked. He said when I refused to stop talking he had to get my attention somehow. That was his reason and he never did apologize. Since then I have not answered his calls and I have ignored his texts. I still care for him a lot but I am also still furious. He keeps asking to pick up where we were but I don’t know if I can forgive him without an apology. What should I do?
/s/ More Than Vexed

Dear Vexed,
Here is the good news. You are a strong, proud human being who happens to be a woman. As such, you have a right to be treated with dignity and respect.
Here is the bad news. You have seen his temper in the past and now you have been caught up in it personally. His reason for doing this is no reason at all. It is an excuse and a poor one at that. Furthermore, he is not likely to change for the better but he is highly likely to change for the worst. He has already shown you his disrespect.
