Police detain two people for firearm and ammunition possession

The San Pedro Police Formation has removed a high powered firearm from a residence in the Boca del Rio area in San Pedro Town. The discovery led to the arrest of 18-year-old Aureliano Pascual and a 17-year-old female, who were both charged for keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The discovery was made on Saturday, August 19th, when police searched a residence in the Boca del Rio Area. The search resulted in the finding of a Ruger .223 Bolt Action Rifle, one magazine, (22) .223/ 5.56 ammunition, (10) .45 ammunition, and (7) .380 ammunition. Both Pascual and the minor were immediately detained and arraigned on Monday, August 21st at the Belize City Magistrate Court.
