Police in San Pedro continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, October 19th. Sometime before 4PM on Friday, police responded to the scene at the Western Union office located at Ambergris Lake Villas south of San Pedro Town where upon arrival they observed a male person suffering from head injuries.
Initial investigation reveals that a male person entered the premises and made his way to the Western Union office. He pointed what appeared to be a hand gun at the personnel and hit one of the employees on the head with what is believed to be a firearm. The thief then made good his escape with approximately $3,000 in cash and a laptop computer.
With the help of images from a surveillance camera, police were able to see the face of the individual and are looking for a male suspect. As for the employee, he was treated for injuries and released.
