The Wassup Expo, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, October 13th, has been postponed until further notice due to recent strike by the Belize National Teacher’s Union (BNTU). The expo is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with what San Pedro Town has to offer, and this non-profit initiative will allow clubs, and organizations to provide information to both youth, and the general public.
According to organizer Kate Corrigan, the date will be confirmed based on the venue’s availability as soon as the San Pedro High School authorities are available to meet. “I am wishing to have the expo in two to three weeks, and I am proposing to set the date to either Thursday, October 27th or Thursday, November 3rd,” said Corrigan.
This expo serves as a fundraising project, where all profits and funds received go will go towards Wassup costs, and SPHS’s Club Funding. In the meantime, Corrigan invites fitness centers, non-profit organizations, charities, theater, music, dance and games clubs to register.
The sign-up fee varies around $30 to $50, and will include one table with two chairs. The fee also includes entry into the Wassup calendar and directory. If you wish to register your club/organization/charity, please pick-up a registration form at Keller Williams Realty before 1PM, or contact Kate Corrigan at 632-4102 or email [email protected] for more information
