On Tuesday, July 5th, the multi-national company Courts Limited made a significant donation to the San Pedro fire victims, who lost everything during the worst tragedy the island has experienced in recent memory. The handover of the donation took place at 2PM at the San Pedro Lions Den. Present to receive the items was incoming San Pedro Lions President Nigel Belisle.
The donation comprised of 10 mattresses, a selection of small home appliances such as Hamilton Beach slow cookers, toasters, rice cookers, and cordless kettle. In addition there was $3,000 worth of grocery items were donated as well. Courts Belize representative Avril Eiley, said that many San Pedro residents do business with them, thus, they were happy to donate during a time of need.
