(San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize) –
Telenovela star and San Pedro native Josh Nunez will headline the 11th annual SAGA Humane Society Halloween Spooktacular Party on Sunday October 26, 2014 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. at Carlo & Ernie’s Runway Bar & Grill. The Telenovela star, and animal lover will join San Pedro Police Chief Jemmott and Miss San Pedro Michelle Estrella Nunez as a contest celebrity judge at this year’s event.La Isla Bonita Telenovela Red Carpet Premiere-23
The Spooktacular family fun party, SAGA’s largest annual fundraiser, features ghoulish games, family fun, contests for pets and owners, live auction items, raffles, great food and drink and more. This years pet costume contest is rumored to be the largest ever with over 100 owners and pets dressed in their most frightful costumes, hoping to be crowned Most Spooktacular, and of course to get a glimpse of star Josh Nunez. New at the 2014 Spooktacular party is the SAGA Canine Kissing booth. Instead of having your standard kissing booth operated by young, beautiful people handing out smooches for charity, this canine kissing booth offers kisses a bit more slobbery that you’d expect.Saga Halloween 2013-38
SAGA Animal Well Being Director Kathy Marin says, “It’s Hip To Snip” and hopes the kissing booth brings in the smackers, the lajan, AKA moolah in support of SAGA’s SNIP campaign. The Spay Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) launched in 2013 aims to humanely reduce animal overpopulation on Ambergris Caye, by reducing unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. In 2013 alone, 639 spay neuter surgeries were performed and Marin wants that number to double in 2015.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the shelter. Silent auction items, including resort packages, massage and dining certificates, and more will be available for bidding on line beginning Wednesday October 15th and will remain open until Monday October 27th.
