Mexico daylight saving time starts on Sunday, April 1st 2012

  • In Mexico, clocks go forward one hour on Sunday, April 1st
  • The Daylight Saving Time will last until October 28th, 2012

Belmopan, 29 March 2012.- The Embassy of Mexico informs that on Sunday, April 1st Mexico will begin Daylight Saving Time (Horario de Verano). On that day, clocks in Mexico go forward one hour. That means that Mexico’s local time will run 1 hour ahead of Belize’s local time until October 28th, 2012.

For example, 9:00 am in Belize local time will be in Mexico 10:00 am local time.

For those traveling within Mexico, the Embassy reminds that the Mexico Daylight Saving Time applies to most of the Mexican territory, including Chetumal, Cancun, Merida, Campeche, Mexico City and Veracruz.

If you are in transit through Mexico, please check your flight’s local time.

 

En México el horario de verano comenzará el domingo 1° de abril

  • En México, el reloj se adelantará una hora a partir del domingo 1° de abril.
  • El horario se mantendrá hasta el 28 de octubre de 2012.

Belmopán, Belice, 29 de marzo de 2012.- La Embajada de México informa al público que a partir del domingo, 1° de abril, comenzará a aplicarse el Horario de Verano en México (Daylight Saving Time). Ese día el reloj se adelantará una hora. En otras palabras, la hora local de México irá una hora adelante de la de Belice hasta el 28 de octubre de 2012.

Como ejemplo: las 9:00 a.m. de Belice serán las 10:00 a.m. (hora local) en la mayor parte de México.

Para todos aquellos que se encuentren de viaje en México, la Embajada les recuerda que el horario de verano se aplica en la mayor parte del territorio mexicano, incluyendo Chetumal, Cancún, Mérida, la ciudad de México y Veracruz, entre otras ciudades.

Las personas viajando por México ya sea por vía aérea o terrestre, se les sugiere verificar la hora local de salida de su transporte.
