Jhoshi Alexander returned from Guatemala on Tuesday December 13th after he competed in the Mr. Jade Universe competition. The event took place from December 5th through 11th. The pageant included various segments such as; swimwear, evening wear, casual wear, fantasy wear and a question and answer segment.

The pageant took the contestants through a week of activities during which they were being judged by overall performance. They also got a chance to visit the various historical sites and cities through Guatemala while socializing with each other.

At the end of the Competition, Brazil emerged with the crown and the title of Mr. Jade Universe 2011-2012. With a difference of seven points, Belize was right behind, winning the second place as well as the titles of Top Male Model and Mr. Jade World. Mexico took third place.

In an interview with The San Pedro Sun, Jhoshi spoke of his experience, “Travelling to the pageant made me nervous, especially because I travelled there by myself and without the assistance of a coach. But, once I got there and started meeting the other contestants, I became comfortable. I knew that I would do my best to represent this beautiful country of Belize. I returned and I am very happy to bring with me the Title of Mr. Jade World, a title that I will gladly share with all the Belizean people and supporters who shared their love and support with me. I was very proud to be representing Belize in this international competition in Guatemala.”

With the pageant over, the organizers are preparing an International Agenda which Mr. Jade World, Jhoshi will have to fulfill along with Brasil and Mexico. The agenda will include visits to various Central American countries where all participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences with other beauty ambassadors. Jhoshi takes this opportunity to thank the following individuals that supported him in this competition: Wild Mangoes and Carlos Barrientos of Mar de Colores among others.
