Kama Lounge held its Christmas Full Moon fundraiser for HelpAge Belize on Saturday night, December 10th. Making a guest appearance was Melonie Gillett. Belizean-born Melonie acquired a degree in Network Engineering while attending community college in the United States. But singing was her passion, so upon returning home from college, she began to test the waters in the local music industry. Her diverse background allowed her to experiment freely with various musical styles and she credits her family for being her biggest influence and motivation.
Melonie performed “Luv Mi”, available on her CD and a Christmas melody. HelpAge Belize is a cause that she was more than happy to assist with. Kama Lounge’s Christmas Full Moon party was complete with Santa Claus and his Elves, as well as specialty drinks while Karaoke Joe provided music for those wishing to showcase their vocal talents. This marks the fourth fundraiser that Kama has held to assist HelpAge.
