SPTC spreads Christmas cheer to the schools

Share

Each year the San Pedro Town Council embraces the holiday spirit by spreading Christmas cheer to the school children of San Pedro. As of early this morning, Mayor Elsa Paz, along with Santa Claus and his helpers hit the streets visiting the various schools.

Their first stop was the Island Academy, followed by Brighter Tomorrow preschool in San Pedrito. The San Pedro Sun caught up with the merry crew at the San Pedro Roman Catholic School. In an interview with The Sun, the Mayor stated that the gift giving in the past was done at the Central Park, however the council ran into some complications and as a result, “We decided that the best thing to do would be to get a list from all the schools and then go to the schools with Santa Claus so that we can make sure that every child gets a toy. And that’s what we are doing today. We are visiting all the schools of San Pedro, giving away toys”.

According to the Mayor, their list is well over 2,000 children who will be receiving toys courtesy of the San Pedro Town Council. Ending her interview, the Mayor wished all residents of San Pedro a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. The crew continues sharing the Christmas cheer in the form of gift giving through the next two days.
