VIP calls on Belizeans to ACT Against Corruption Today

Share

Press Release – Vision Inspired by the People – November 28,2011 – In keeping with our commitment to Act Against Corruption Today, Vision Inspired by the People calls on Belizeans visiting Mexico via the Chetumal border to refrain from engaging in corruption by paying for a fast entry process at the northern border. This is a FREE service and no one should pay for it.

It was witnessed this weekend that Belizeans were paying two Mexican security guards $ 10.00 per passport at the Subteneinte Lopez Mexican Immigration office on Saturday between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 AM. This is illegal, encourages corruption and slows down the legal procedure affecting those waiting in line to follow the proper and legal process.

VIP calls on Belizeans to say NO to corruption and join the United Nations Anti-Corruption Campaign 2011 to Act Against Corruption Today.
