Caye Caulker Lobsterfest Pageant

Caye Caulker’s Lobsterfest is on its way and a big highlight of the festivities is the Miss Lobsterfest Pageant. This year the pageant will take place on June 26th but the motorcade will be held on the 24th starting at 4:00 p.m. The motorcade, with its colorful floats, are a highlight of the Pageant’s festivities. This year, five stunning young ladies vie for this year’s title Miss Lobster Fest 2009. The contestants are:

Miss Vanessa Flowers – 16 years old with hobbies such as football, swimming and dancing. Someday would like to work in the international airline industry.

Miss Lexee Marin – A 15 year old certified Scuba Diver who would like to become a marine biologist. Lexee will be the 3rd contestant from her immediate family to be a contestant in a Miss Lobsterfest Pageant.

Miss Estrella Jimenez – 18 year old student at Ocean Academy High School who sometimes uses her free time as a babysitter. Estrella inspires younger people so as not to fear anything but to go ahead and reach for their goals.

Miss Blenda Aguilar – 17 years old, her hobbies are reading, writing poems and someday she would like to work in the Fisheries Department.

Miss Adriana Magana – A vibrant 17 year old who loves to play sports and enjoys reading. Adriana aspires to someday becoming a journalist; she joins the pageant this year because she wants to encourage Caye Caulker’s young teenagers to be more active within the community.
