Besides offering a 10% discount on Trade License renewals during the week of San Pedro’s 36th Township Anniversary, the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) is now also offering the same discount on Property Taxes. This offer is due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected islanders, and the special discount aims to help property owners still struggling with the current health crisis.
The discount applies to the tax year 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. According to a post by the SPTC, the discount is ongoing with no definitive deadline. The SPTC added that it would be announced a week before the assigned date when the discount is about to expire.
As with the discount with trade licenses, Mayor Daniel Guerrero hopes this additional break will help property owners during this challenging time. He urges property owners to take advantage of the offer. Regarding the discount on trade licenses, applicants have until this Friday, November 27th, when the Town Council celebrates Township Day.
