Press Release – RE/MAX Caribbean and Central America – July 20, 2015 – RE/MAX Caribbean and Central America is pleased to announce the formation of a new REMAX franchise –RE/MAX Island Real Estate – for Ambergris Caye, Belize. The former franchise, RE/MAX Southwind, LLP, owned and operated by Broker/Owner(s), John D. Turley and Daniel Hartin, has ceased operations, and John D. Turley is the owner of RE/MAX Island Real Estate for both Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, Belize.
These changes are effective immediately.
Despite the change in leadership, processes have been put into place to make this business transition transparent to customers and to maintain business continuity. As a result, current sales agreements and upcoming closings are unaffected by this change in business ownership.
RE/MAX Island Real Estate continues to offer clients specialty services including: Land Development, Investment Consultation, International Inbound/Outbound Referrals, Business Opportunities, Buyer Brokerage, New Construction, and Relocation. This is in addition to traditional sales of Single and Mul-ti-Family Homes, Luxury Homes, Condominiums, Residential Acreage, and Vacation and Resort Prop-erty.
John D. Turley, the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Island Real Estate, has owned two successful brokerag-es in Belize since 2009, and has been a leader in the Belize real estate industry for the last decade. He was Broker/Owner of the Year (2013) for the RE/MAX Caribbean and Central America Region and has been the #1 Sales Associate for RE/MAX Caribbean and Latin America every year from 2011–2014. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Belize Real Estate Association (known as AREBB – Associa-tion of Real Estate Brokers in Belize) since 2010.
Effective January 1, 2015, Mr. Turley became CEO and Co-Owner of RE/Max Caribbean and Central America Region, with oversight of 56 RE/MAX offices throughout the 35 countries, islands and territo-ries of the region. The new owners of RE/MAX Caribbean and Central America Region are John and Lucinda Turley of San Pedro Belize, and Ricardo and Tere Cardenas on San Salvador, El Salvador. Ri-cardo Cardenas serves as Regional Director, after serving as Vice-President – RE/MAX Latin America, at RE/MAX World Headquarters.
